JPM International brings out Crystal Maze
26 June, 2006 - JPM International has renewed its deal with Chatsworth Enterprises to develop and distribute games based on the legendary Crystal Maze TV show.
The Crystal Maze SWP games are based on the format of the UK game show hosted by Rocky Horror Show actor Richard O’Brien. During the show, a team of six contestants played several games in each of six chambers located in the Maze.
During the SWP game the player has the chance to visit four zones: Aztec, Futuristic, Medieval and Ocean as seen in the original TV show. Within these zones the choice of a physical, mental, skill or mystery challenge is given. The aim of each challenge is to solve puzzles and collect ‘time-crystals’, giving the player a chance to win prizes in the Crystal Dome. Once inside the Crystal Dome the player grabs flying gold tokens, which will be transferred into a big money prize. The players should avoid collecting silver tokens, deducting points as in the original game show.
“The Crystal Maze licence renewal further strengthens our position as a developer of choice for SWP games,” explained Charles Walker, Managing Director, JPM International.
The Crystal Maze game is currently available in the UK on Gamesnet and Itbox.
